Rules of Decorum Discussed By Walhalla City Council

New rules for decorum could soon set limits on an individuals actions during future meetings of Walhalla City Government.

A majority of the city’s elected officials want to implement Robert’s Rules of Order during public meetings and there was discussion this week that, in order to maintain decorum, the meeting’s chair person should be given the authority to recognize a speaker.

Free speech advocate and council member Grant Keehn expressed concerns as to whether or not one person should have the power to limit debate. While Keehn and Mayor Danny Edwards have butted heads in the past over different issues, he said this was not a personal attack on the mayor…
