SC Cases of COVID-19 Rises to 60 Statewide – 14 Counties Confirm Positive Tests

South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control (DHEC) is investigating 13 additional cases of the COVID-19 novel coronavirus. This brings the total number statewide to 60 cases in 14 counties – 1 case each in the counties of Charleston, Greenville, Horry, Lee and Lexington, 2 cases reported in Beaufort County and three cases confirmed in Kershaw and Richland Counties. As the state’s number of positive cases expectedly increases, DHEC is asking those people with signs of illness to stay home. Several South Carolina health systems are offering tele-health options to the public.
