SDOC announces Lunch Prices for 2015-2016 School Year

The School District of Oconee County announces its participation in the National School Lunch Program (NSLP) and the School Breakfast Program (SBP) for the 2015-2016 school year. All registered students are eligible to participate in the NSLP and the SBP and are awarded benefits based on family size and income. A completed application for the 2015-2016 school year must be returned to your child’s school or the Food Service office to apply for Free or Reduced benefits. Applications are available at www.heartlandapps.com. It is important to note that all who do not apply for this school year will pay full price as shown on the chart on the School District’s website at www.oconee.k12.sc.us. Eligibility determinations are made on a household basis; that is, all children in the same household attending schools under the jurisdiction of the same school district are to receive the same benefits, with the exception of certain TANF situations and depending upon the programs operating in the individual schools. Any child eligible for a free lunch is also eligible for a free breakfast. Any child eligible for a reduced priced lunch is also eligible for a reduced priced breakfast. Questions about the School District of Oconee County school lunch and breakfast program may be directed to Nancy Ratliff with Food Services at 864-886-4400 ext. 6178. Applications may also be picked up at the schools or the district office. Foster children and Food Stamp, TANF, or FDPIR recipients are eligible for free meal benefits, but still must fill out an application each year to receive benefits unless you are notified otherwise.
