SDOC appoints Three New Principals

At Monday night’s work session meeting of the Board of Trustees for the School District of Oconee County, the recommendation of three new administrators were accepted. The three new principals will serve in the Westminster area, explains Oconee County Schools Assistant Superintendent of Operations Steve Hanvey. “Dr. Brandon Blackwell was named the new principal of West-Oak Middle School. Dr. Blackwell has 12 years of experience as a teacher and administrator. He is currently the assistant principal at Seneca High School. Mr. Josh Wittrock was named the new principal of Orchard Park Elementary. Mr. Wittrock has 22 years of experience as a teacher and administrator. He is currently the assistant principal at Fair Oak Elementary on the Oakway Campus. Mrs. Sharon (Sherrie) McAllister was named the new principal of Westminster Elementary. Mrs. McAllister has 36 years of experience as a teacher and administrator. She is currently the assistant principal at Orchard Park Elementary.” All appointments are effective July 1, 2016.
