SDOC Celebrated Summer Graduation

The School District of Oconee County honored sixteen students, six of whom were in attendance,  at its annual summer graduation ceremony held Monday, August 16th at Walhalla High School.   Dr. Michael Thorsland welcomed the graduates and families, sharing how proud he was of all the students had accomplished to reach the important milestone of high school graduation. Students were presented their diplomas by their high school principal before shaking hands with school board members. The ceremony was closed with the traditional changing of the tassels followed by the students recessing to “Pomp and Circumstances.”
