SDOC names Teacher, Support Employee and Volunteer of Year

The School District of Oconee County recently presented top awards for 2014-15. Oconee County Schools Superintendent Dr. Michael Thorsland gives this year’s three major honorees. “It is a privilege and honor each year to be able to award three people with those awards; the Teacher of the Year, Support Employee of the Year and the Volunteer of the Year. This year, our Teacher of the Year is Joey Bryson; she is a special education teacher at West-Oak Middle School. The Support Employee of the Year is Jody McMillan, who serves as the bookkeeper at Seneca Middle School and the Chashe Hunnicutt is the Volunteer of the Year for the School District, she is from Westminster Elementary School. We are excited about all three of these individuals and we are very appreciative for what they do for our students.” The District also recognized Joni Mize, Fred Edgerton and Randi Leigh Davis as honor roll teachers.
