Search for Missing Hiker Underway

Richard Gonzalez, who was separated from his hiking party on Monday, August 3rd, has been located and is on his way to a pickup point. He is unharmed and more information will follow. Oconee County Emergency Services would like to thank all hikers and emergency services personnel who aided in locating Mr. Gonzalez.

Last seen noon-time Monday the 3rd.
We are looking for a Missing Hiker, if we can get the word out and see if anyone has seen him or if anyone is hiking the trail can look out for him.
Last seen on the Foothill trail on the River Between Nicolson Ford and Burrell’s Ford.
27 year old, 6 ft. tall, 175lbs think build no medical problems, from Texas, wearing a black tee shirt with a green back pack.
Was planning on hiking the whole Foothills trail. Oconee State Park to Table Rock
Lost Hiker is not familiar with trail, we do not believe he has a map either.
