Seminar for Entrepreneurs coming to Seneca

The SC Women’s Business Center (SCWBC), in partnership with the Oconee Business Center, Small Business Development Center (SBDC), and the Service Corps of Retired Executives (SCORE), will host a seminar to assist Oconee County entrepreneurs who are interested in pursuing a home based business. The SC Women’s Business Center is a non-profit organization that brings business expertise to the entrepreneurial women of South Carolina through training programs, community resources, and micro-loans. Topics to be discussed include knowing if you have what it takes to start a business, determining if your idea can earn money for you, what it will take to run a business in your home, finding the money to finance your business, how to know if you are really making money and information on resources to help you start and run your business. The seminar will be held on Nov. 13, from 11:30am-2pm at TD Bank located at 104 Mill Road in Seneca. Both women and men are welcome to attend this event. Cost is $20 per person. The Oconee Economic Alliance, in partnership with the Tri-County Entrepreneurial Development Corporation, will cover the cost of the first ten registrants for this program.
