Senator Alexander’s response to Governor McMaster’s State of the State Address

President of the South Carolina Senate, Thomas Alexander of Oconee-Pickens, issued this statement last night following Governor Henry McMaster’s State of the State Address:

Columbia, S.C. – “Governor McMaster did a great job tonight outlining a bright future for our state by making us more competitive in a number of areas including education funding, income tax, infrastructure, and workforce development. I look forward to working with the Governor to make this happen. Let’s get to work today so our citizens can have a better tomorrow.”

Senator Alexander and his Oconee County House colleagues hold their annual Oconee County meeting at 6:30PM tonight at the Seneca City Hall. The public is invited to attend a discussion of what’s ahead for the state in a new legislative year.
