Senator Graham Introduced Two Pieces of Bipartisan Legislation Wednesday

Senator Lindsey Graham introduced two bipartisan bills on Wednesday. The Iranian Enrichment Monitoring Act of 2023, introduced with Bob Menendez (D-New Jersey) and Richard Blumenthal (D-Connecticut), would require the Director of National Intelligence to notify Congress within 48 hours if Iran produces or possesses highly enriched uranium greater than 60% purity.

The Protecting Older Americans Act, introduced with Kirsten Gillibrand (D-New York), Dick Durbin (D-Illinois), and Nancy Mace (R-South Carolina), would invalidate forced arbitration clauses that prevent age discrimination victims from seeking justice. Forced arbitration occurs when a company requires an employee to submit disputes to binding arbitration as a condition of employment. This waives their right to sue in court and enables a culture of secrecy, Graham said.
