Seneca beats BHP for Top Spot in Western AAA

The Seneca Bobcats remain unbeaten on the season after knocking off the BHP Bears 46-27 Friday night. The Bobcats’ 24 seniors celebrated Homecoming with huge performances. Senior running back Braxton Gambrell accounted for four touchdowns, the first a 42-yard run, the second a 4-yard catch, the third a 26-yard pass and the fourth on a 1-yard run. Not to be outdone by his older sister, Jordan, who was crowned Homecoming Queen at halftime, senior quarterback Elijah Turner threw three touchdown passes, the first to Gambrell, the second a 16-yarder to Daquan Mackey and the third, a 2-yarder to Andre Wright. Turner also caught the touchdown pass from Gambrell. Bobcat junior running back Jacory Benson capped the Seneca scoring with a 16-yard run. With the win, the Seneca Bobcats improve to 8-0 on the season.
