Seneca Bridge Club joins Nationwide Event to trump Alzheimer’s

Members of the Golden Corner Bridge Club in Seneca host a series of bridge games among other activities from sunrise to sunset on Sunday, June 21, to raise money for The Longest Day, which is an annual nationwide fundraising event for Alzheimer’s research held by the American Contract Bridge League (ACBL) and the Alzheimer’s Association. June is also “Brain Awareness Month” and the Alzheimer’s Association says bridge is one of 10 great ways to reduce the risk of cognitive decline. Held on the summer solstice, the Longest Day symbolizes the challenging journey of those living with Alzheimer’s disease and their caregivers. The Golden Corner Bridge Club’s goal is to raise $1,600 during the event at Senior Solutions, 101 Perry Avenue in Seneca.
