Seneca City Council Holding Public Hearing on Municipal Budget

At their next meeting, Seneca City Council will hold a public hearing on the municipal budget of the city’s general fund for the upcoming fiscal year. The millage rate of 62.7 is set to stay the same, even though the city’s proposed revenues and expenses have increased by about 16%. Keep in mind that the general fund is different from the budget for Seneca Light and Water, where sewer rates are expected to increase by $2 or $3, due to an apparent $2.3 million shortfall in sewer charges. The next Seneca City Council meeting will be held on Tuesday, June 13 at 6:00PM in Council Chambers at City Hall and is open to the public.
