Seneca City Council to consider Budget

It is budget time once again and tonight at a rescheduled meeting, the Seneca City Council considers first reading of the fiscal year 2016-17 budgets. Seneca Mayor Dan Alexander gives details. “Each year is different; it just depends on what expenses you have and what the needs are. If you are trying to figure out how you fund something then how do you come about the money. For me the budget, you have previous numbers and you can track them all year, so at the end of the year you know what those numbers are and what the requests are, so I think the more you do budgets, it is not as hard but when you face issues that you know you have major expenses, then you have to make some big decisions. You try to make sure you do the right thing and do the right thing for the people of the city.” The six separate budgets to govern the City of Seneca next year are on the agenda for tonight’s meeting at 6pm in council chambers of City Hall. The meeting is open to the public.
