Seneca Council approves Bid for AC

New equipment was the focus of a special called Seneca City Council meeting Tuesday night. After their regularly scheduled work session, the Seneca City Council approved a local bid to replace some air-conditioning units at City Hall explains Seneca Mayor Pro-tem Ronnie O’Kelley. “We have to replace a couple of units inside City Hall. That facility was built in 1994, so to replace those two units; I think it is just a few dollars over $13,000. We did put it out for bid and an in-town business received the bid on that.” The other piece of equipment discussed was a new backhoe, continues Mayor Pro-tem O’Kelley. “It is time to purchase a backhoe for Light and Water. What we do is lease those, we are waiting on our lease numbers to come in on the backhoe, and then we will move forward with that. So, just a busy time in Seneca having to buy equipment.” Once those numbers come in, Mayor Pro-tem O’Kelley added, council would consider leasing a new backhoe for Seneca Light and Water.
