Seneca Couple arrested for Unlawful Neglect of a Child

The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Seneca couple Wednesday on charges of unlawful neglect of a child, explains Public Information Officer Jimmy Watt. “24-year-old Rhonda Faye Lecroy and 26-year-old Robert Alan Lecroy of 531 Wetoda Road were booked into the Oconee County Detention Center after being arrested by a deputy from the Warrants Division. Both parents have been charged with two separate counts of unlawful neglect for exposing their two children, ages 13 and 5, to marijuana. According to Narcotics Agents from the Sheriff’s Office, the parents were drug tested by the Department of Social Services on Oct. 27. After the positive tests on both parents, the children were tested on Nov. 18 and test results later determined that both children also tested positive for marijuana. Agents from the Sheriff’s Office were then notified by DSS on Nov. 27 and warrants were obtained against the Lecroy’s on Dec. 2. The children were placed with a family member, according to deputies.” Both parents were released from the Oconee County Detention Center on $20,000 personal recognizance bonds each.
