Seneca Couple arrested on Drug Charges

The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Seneca couple on drug charges after assisting them with their vehicle. On Highway 28 at Bountyland Road, a deputy observed a man pushing a moped with a woman sitting on top. The deputy stopped to check on the welfare of the individuals, who told the deputy that they were looking for a purse that the woman dropped. As the conversation continued, the deputy observed that the individuals seemed to be under the influence and then checked the identification of both. As the investigation continued, the man pulled an orange pill bottle from his front pocket. The woman told the deputy that the medication was hers and that they were looking for it, which contradicted their original story. Then both subjects were arrested and further investigation produced more prescription medication. In warrants obtained by the Sheriff’s Office, 45-year-old Garland Eric Dillard and 43-year-old Johnnie Diane Dillard of Seneca stand charged with possession of a controlled substance.
