Seneca Dog Park Opening

The Seneca Dog Park near the former Kellett Elementary School will officially open on Thursday. The park, open from sunrise to sunset, was spearheaded by Debbie Williams, the executive assistant to city administrator Scott Moulder. Rules for the park will be available on-site and on the city’s website and Facebook page. The park was funded through various grants and local fundraising efforts, including a $25,000 grant from the PetSafe Bark for Your Park Committee. The park will have separate zones for large and small dogs, two watering stations, and potential for lighting. A “Legacy Brick” effort also helped raise funds. The park’s opening is seen as a significant addition to the city’s recreational facilities.
