Seneca Going to Arbitration Over FEMA Reimbursments

Seneca City Council met last night. The meeting began with a swearing in ceremony for council members Scott Durham, WC Honeycutt, Jr., Denise Rozman, and Joel Ward.

Judge Katie Cox was appointed and sworn in Tuesday night, alongside her husband, Andy Cox, and son, Dylan Smith

That was followed by the appointment and swearing in of Katie Cox as Municipal Judge, and the reappointments of the Mayor Pro Tem, City Attorney, City Treasurer, Municipal Clerk, and OJRSA Commissioners.

City Administrator Scott Moulder, however, had a pressing matter toward the end of the meeting. He reported to the Mayor and Council that the city’s latest appeal to FEMA to recoup millions of dollars lost in the April 2020 tornado was denied…

The council voted to hire the recommended law firm for arbitration with FEMA.
