Seneca hosting first ever Glo Run

A special event is planned for Memorial Day weekend in downtown Seneca. On May 22, the city hosts its first ever glow run, explains Seneca Events Coordinator Riley Johnson. “We are going to do Glo in the Night, its Seneca’s first race at night and its Friday, May 22. Bring out the glow sticks and make it a family event with people running around the track and through Adams subdivision. We are excited about it and there are plenty of chances to sign up, its just $20 and that includes your glow in the dark t-shirt. This is a fun event that you can come on out with your whole family and run at night.” For running enthusiasts, the race will be a timed 5K. City workers and volunteers will line the route to ensure no one gets lost and no traffic interrupts the nighttime run. The race starts and ends at the Shaver Recreation Complex where a party is planned for before and after the race as well.
