Seneca Man airlifted after Tractor Accident

A helicopter airlifted a Seneca man Tuesday afternoon after a tractor fell on him.  Oconee County Fire Chief Charlie King reports that a man was using a tractor to plow a garden at his home on Singing Pines Road in the Friendship community when a mechanical problem occurred.  When the man went to inspect the tractor it rolled over on him pinning him to the ground.  Chief King said rescue workers spent 20 minutes trying to free the man.  A helicopter transported him to Greenville Memorial Hospital for treatment of injuries to his lower body.
