Seneca Man Charged with Trafficking Cocaine, Weapons Violation

Seneca Police charged Jerry Bernard Lawrence, Jr., age 40 of a Townville Street address, with trafficking cocaine and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime. Lawrence, Jr was arrested around 1:00am Wednesday morning following a traffic stop by officers on patrol in the area of East South 3rd Street, who said that they initially stopped the suspect’s vehicle because his lights weren’t on.

Police added that they collected a 9mm handgun and approximately 14.45 grams of a white powder substance they believed to be cocaine.

According to jail records, Lawrence Jr is out on bond.
