Seneca Mayor proclaims National Disability Employment Awareness Month

The month of October has been designated as “National Disability Employment Awareness Month” to increase the public’s awareness of the contributions and skills of American workers with disabilities. In observance, Seneca Mayor Dan Alexander signed a proclamation. Disability is a natural part of the human experience and in no way diminishes the right of individuals with disabilities to live independently, enjoy self-determination, make choices, contribute to society, and fully experience the economic, political, social, cultural, and educational mainstream of American society.
