Seneca Mayor says 2013 was Busy Year

As 2013 comes to a close, Seneca Mayor Dan Alexander reflects back on a very busy year for the city.  “2013 was an extremely busy year, a lot of things were able to be completed but also there has been lots of prep for 2014.  As we move into the Water Plant, there are some things there that are going to happen this year.  Also at the Propex Plant, there are renovations going on there and we were able to get a couple of extra tenants in that building and were able to create some more jobs.  I think about the Shaver Complex being able to get the new hardwood floor, I know Mayor Pro-tem Ronnie O’Kelley worked very hard to continue to press that forward to see if we could make that happen.  I think all the people that came into to town this year, whether it was the Lunney House Museum or Jazz on the Alley, we’ve had several big things.  The new hotel was built in 2013 and the World Series came back.  It was just an extremely busy year and 2014 is going to be very busy too.” Mayor Alexander looks forward to 2014 and the new all-electric CAT buses that will begin transporting residents early in the New Year.
