Seneca PD Made “Significant” Drug Bust, Said Chief Bowling

The Seneca Police Department is announcing arrests today of two individuals. On 2/28/2021 at approximately 21:00 officers with the Seneca Police Department initiated a traffic stop on a Chevy Trailblazer on Fairfield Drive inside the city limits of Seneca. Officers were able to contact two individuals inside the vehicle. While interviewing the subjects one officer noticed a firearm inside of a McDonalds bag. One officer also saw the driver throw something from the vehicle. Officers detained the two individuals inside the vehicle. Upon further investigation it was found that the driver, Calvin Hunt, was driving with a suspended driver’s license.
During the search incident to arrest officers located several other items. The following items were located inside and outside the vehicle:
Clear bag with crystal like substance 36 grams
Plastic bottle with .63 grams of a crystal-like substance
Green leafy substance 2.07 grams
Plastic bottle with 20 Milliliters believed to be liquid Morphine
Plastic bottle with 30 Milliliters believed to be liquid Morphine
Black in color .380 handgun
Assorted drug paraphernalia
Officers placed the driver, Calvin Hunt, and the passenger, Stephanie Wright, in custody. Both individuals were transported to the Oconee County Detention Center to await a bond hearing.

Possession of a schedule 1-5 controlled substance
“I want to personally thank the Seneca Police Officers for taking these dangerous narcotics off our streets. This is just one way that we are serving our community,” Chief Bowling said.

According to jail records, Seneca Police arrested three people on Sunday. 38 year-old Stephanie Alice Wright and 45 year-old Calvin Demarcus Hunt are being held on Temporary Custody Orders, while Seneca Police arrested 35 year-old Elijah Hawke Chavez and charged him with possession of drug paraphernalia and an open container violation.
