Seneca Planning Commission approves Re-zoning Request

A plan to build five new homes on North Hampton Road received approval from the Seneca Planning Commission at their meeting Monday night. The Commission voted unanimously to recommend a zoning change for Crescent Communities, explains Seneca Planning and Development director Ed Halbig. “The Planning Commission has decided to make a recommendation to the City Council to approve a re-zoning request by the developers for a piece of property that is approximately 20-acres on North Hampton Road in Seneca. It was zoned Planned Development-Undeveloped and they requested to have it re-zoned to R20-Residential, Single Family with 20,000-square-foot minimum lot sized.” If approved by Seneca City Council, the developer plans to subdivide the 20-acres in order to build five homes.
