Seneca Planning Commission to consider Rezoning

At their meeting this month, the Seneca Planning Commission considers a rezoning request for 88.92 acres of wooded property that is currently undeveloped. The property is bound by Frontage Road, Queen Anne Lane, Knollwood Drive and Lake Keowee. Seneca Planning and Community Development Director Ed Halbig tells more about the rezoning request. “The rezoning is a piece of property that was annexed in 2010. It is currently zoned Planned Development Undeveloped and the owners are looking to see if they can have part of it zoned General Commercial, which touches on Highway 28 and Residential Single Family R15 for the portion that touches on the lake.” The Seneca Planning Commission Meeting is scheduled for 6pm on Monday, April 30, in Council Chambers of Seneca City Hall.
