Seneca Planning Commission Votes Against Rezoning Proposal

Dan Freeman, a businessman in Seneca, proposed an upscale home development on 16 acres of land near Dalton Road, Queen Street, and Rocky Ridge Circle.

However, residents living nearby opposed the plan and won a unanimous vote from the city planning commissioners against a zoning change that would have allowed Freeman to build up to seven additional homes.

The final decision will be made by the city council during meetings on July 11 and August 8. Councilman Ronnie O’Kelley, who will have a vote on the matter, was present at the meeting.
