Seneca plans CAT Bus Celebration

The all-electric CAT Buses have been busy over the last few weeks of operation in Seneca, so the City plans to celebrate on Nov. 6. Seneca Mayor Dan Alexander gives details about a special night of Jazz on the Alley to celebrate the new all-electric CAT Buses built by Proterra. “I’m looking forward to the celebration of the new CAT Bus. There will be lots of people here from Proterra, the SC DOT and several dignitaries have been invited that played a major role in making it happen.” More people are taking advantage of the CAT Bus System, especially after recent publicity concerning the new all-electric buses, adds Mayor Alexander. “Everything is going well. We have ordered our fifth bus. We have a good last few weeks with the buses and we are just looking forward to actually celebrating a little bit with the all-electric transit, zero emission buses. The ridership continues to grow it is going to be over 300,000 this year, so we just continue to see people take advantage of it.” Seneca’s celebration of the all-electric CAT Buses is set for Nov. 6 from 6:30-9:30pm during a special night of Jazz on the Alley in downtown Seneca.
