Seneca Police Charge Man with Meth Trafficking

According to a report from Seneca Police, yesterday morning around 10:20am, officers arrested 28 year-old Matthew Jacob Eder of Anderson and charged him with giving false information, trafficking meth second offense, driving under suspension, drug paraphernalia, grand larceny and possession of a weapon during a violent crime.

Police said they observed a white Ford F-150 that matched the description of a vehicle that was reported stolen, which officers confirmed was the vehicle for which they were searching.

A traffic stop was performed in the Starbucks parking lot on Bypass 123 where Eder was apprehended. A search of Eder and the vehicle revealed meth, a glass pipe and a loaded Heritage .22 Revolver, police said.

At this time, Eder remains in custody at the Oconee County Detention Center pending bond.
