Seneca Police Department Continues Investigation Into April 28th Shooting Incident

(Seneca, SC)—————The Seneca Police Department is continuing their investigation into a shooting incident that occurred during the early morning hours of April 28th off N. Cherry Street in Seneca.

According to Seneca Police Chief John Covington, the investigation thus far has shown that the actual shooting took place outside the business listed in the original report. Chief Covington does say that the original altercation that culminated and stemmed the shooting incident did start in the business earlier but the actual shooting did not occur there but in the parking lot of the convenience store next door.

Chief Covington says that the Seneca Police Department is still actively seeking cooperative witnesses to the shooting and that anyone with any relevant information can contact the Seneca Police Department or Crimestoppers at 1-888-CRIME-SC.
