Seneca Police Department Investigates Two Wednesday Motor Vehicle Accidents

(Seneca, SC)—The Seneca Police Department investigated two motor vehicle accidents yesterday.

The first accident occurred at the intersection of South Fairplay Street at E.S. 2nd Street and involved a white Hyundai that was struck by a blue Toyota, according to Captain B.J. McClure of the Seneca Police Department.

Captain McClure says the driver and a passenger in the Toyota were transported to the hospital by paramedics with non-life threatening injuries.

A short time later, a white Lexus SUV was traveling too fast for conditions in the construction zone on W.S. 4th Street, according to Captain McClure.

Captain McClure says that the vehicle lost control on the loose gravel where the road is in the process of being paved and slid off the roadway.

No injuries were reported in the single vehicle accident and no construction workers were in the construction zone at the time of the accident.
