Seneca Police Department’s Successful Block Party

The Seneca Police Department successfully hosted its inaugural block party, featuring food, music, and games. Free meals, including chicken bog, green beans, coleslaw, a roll, and a drink, were distributed to all attendees in the parking lot of Sunset Finance on Mountain View Drive in Seneca.

The event was part of a new community outreach initiative by Police Chief Casey Bowling to engage with neighborhoods and citizens in ways previously unexplored. The block party was particularly significant as it marked the department’s first outreach event in White Oak Cliffs, a neighborhood they hadn’t reached before. The block party was the first of several planned for different neighborhoods throughout the year.
