Seneca Police Investigating Homicide
Oconee County Coroner Karl Addis said 62-year-old Ronnie Lee Cobb of Seneca died Wednesday night shortly after 7 pm from a gunshot injury.
The shooting occurred outside his East South Second Street apartment, and he died from a gunshot wound to the chest. Seneca Police and the Coroner’s Office are investigating.

61-year-old William David Morgan is in custody at the Oconee County Detention Center charged with Murder, unlawful possession of a handgun, and possession of a weapon during a violent crime. Bond was denied on those charges.
An autopsy was performed on Monday (February 27, 2023). The examination confirmed Mr. Cobb died from a single shotgun wound to the chest. His manner of death is classified as Homicide.
