Seneca receives State Grant for Organic Garden Party

The City of Seneca received a state grant to promote local Farmers’ Market Initiatives in the Upstate of South Carolina. The $500 state grant will fund an Organic Garden Party on July 12, explains Seneca Mayor Dan Alexander. “It is remarkable how many organic farmers there are and this gives us an opportunity to have another event that is something different but also to be able to share and be able to bring different farmers here. They will talk about different organic products; what they are and how they make them. So, we are looking forward to having that here, great music and a great night to put on that event. That is going to be on July 12.” Seneca’s Organic Garden Party on July 12 takes place from 6-9pm and will feature The Silver Dollar Gang performing live. The event is free to attend.
