Seneca teams with YMCA

The City of Seneca announces a new partnership. At the recent Seneca City Council meeting, Mayor Dan Alexander announced an agreement between the City and the Foothills YMCA that he views as a win-win for both. “They will be at the Gignilliat Gym, they will have an office there and they will help coordinate the scheduling of the building. So, there is some partnerships that they will be helping us with but they will also be using the facility too. The old adult learning building, they have some office space that we have worked with them so they could have some addition space that was one thing they really did need. So, it is a win-win for everybody because at Gignilliat we haven’t always been able to have a presence there, we only went there when we needed to, but now there will actually be somebody there through the YMCA.” With this new space, the Foothills YMCA hopes to offer even more programs to the community.
