Seneca Utility Warehouse Drawings unveiled

Drawings of a new warehouse facility for Seneca Light and Water were unveiled to the City Council Tuesday night during their work session meeting. The proposed facility is planned for property behind City Hall on a block of North Walnut Street between 2nd and 3rd streets, explains Seneca Mayor Dan Alexander. “It is taking the existing site where it already is and changing things there to make it a lot more feasible for that type of operation. Then across the street where the Lowery Building is that is a facility that we have too, there are several things there that they would like to be able to do too, so that is going to be part of this project along with that substation. So, that whole area right there is really going to get a major transformation.” Drawings of the proposed Seneca Light and Water warehouse facility as well as work planned at the substation and the Lowery Building are available for public viewing at Seneca City Hall and online at www.seneca.sc.us.
