Seneca Woman Arrested on First Degree Burglary Charge

The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Seneca woman over the weekend on a First Degree Burglary charge.

22 year old Daneasha Kahlee Walker of Burnwood Circle was booked into the Oconee County Detention Center around 1:49am Sunday. Walker was also charged with one count each of Assault and Battery – 3rd Degree and Malicious Injury to Real Property.

A deputy from the Uniform Patrol Division responded late last Saturday night to an address on Samuel Drive near Seneca in regards to a report of a disturbance and began an investigation. When the deputy arrived on the scene, an ambulance was requested for an injury to one of the residents. The resident was treated on scene for her injuries.

According to information provided to the deputy, a group of females entered the residence and assaulted the residents inside. The residents produced weapons inside of the house during the assault, according to information provided to the deputy. The deputy was notified of possible injuries to at least one of the suspects. The deputy asked dispatch to alert the hospital in case a potential suspects came into the hospital seeking treatment.

The subjects that were in the house left the residence by the time that deputy arrived on the scene. The deputy was also notified of suspects who had arrived at the hospital to receive treatment for injuries. Uniform Patrol Deputy’s also arrived at the hospital to continue the investigation there.

The deputies spoke with two subjects, one of them identified as Walker. Based upon evidence that had been gathered during the investigation, Walker was placed under arrest after being released from the hospital and was transported to the Oconee County Detention Center. She remains in custody with a bond set at more than $50,000.

According to arrest warrants, Walker is charged with breaking into the residence on Samuel Drive during the nighttime hours Saturday without the consent of the homeowner. Walker is also accused of assaulting one of the residents as well as causing damage to a door of the residence by forcing the door open and damaging the frame.

The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office is continuing its investigation.
