Seneca Woman killed in US 123 Crash

A woman died from injuries she sustained in a two-vehicle accident Saturday night in Seneca. According to the South Carolina Highway Patrol, the wreck happened shortly after 8pm near the intersection of U.S. 123 and Richland Road. Troopers said the driver was traveling south on Richland Road when she failed to yield the right of way and was struck by another vehicle. Oconee County Coroner Karl Addis identified the woman as 58-year-old Hilda Parker of Seneca. She was injured and entrapped in the accident, and had to be extricated. She later died at Oconee Medical Center. Addis said Parker died from complications of blunt force trauma.
