Several Arrests Last Week in Oconee County

Kristopher Oneal Justus, 37-years-old, was arrested on Friday by the Seneca Police Department. He is currently facing charges for third-degree arson and malicious injury to personal property. He remains in jail with a surety bond set at $50,000.

And last Tuesday, according to records from the Oconee County Detention Center, Leon Brian Hardee, a 44-year-old resident of Seneca, was arrested on charges of obtaining medication through a fraudulent telephone prescription in a doctor’s name. The arrest was made by an agent from the state Bureau of Drug Control, part of DHEC. The doctor confirmed that he did not authorize or prescribe the medication, Clonidine. After his arrest, Hardee was transferred from the Oconee jail to the Greer Police Department.

Nicholas Heath Massey, 40-years-old from Westminster, was arrested on Wednesday. He is currently held by the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office on multiple charges, including malicious injury to telephone, telegraph, or utility systems, property damage to obtain metals valued over $5000, grand larceny ranging from $2000 to over $10,000, distribution of methamphetamine, and driving under suspension. His total bond amount is set at more than $225,000.

24-year-old Rashaun Tremain Rush was arrested last Wednesday by Sheriff’s Deputies. He is in custody at the Oconee County Detention Center on charges of assault and battery 2nd degree, pointing and presenting firearms at a person, unlawful carrying of a weapon, and manufacturing or possessing other substances with intent to distribute. His total bond amount is set at more than $115,000.
