Shining Lights Contest brightens Holidays

On Friday, judging of the 25th annual Shining Lights Contest took place. The Kiwanis Club of Oconee County sponsors this holiday event. Shining Lights Chairperson Annette Orr said this year’s contest was a great success. “We had lots of beautiful entries this year. There were some great displays. We had about 14 entries and if anyone wants the complete list, they can email me at [email protected]. They can also facebook message me, I did post the winners on facebook.” A committee from the Kiwanis Club judges entries based on the quality and quantity of lights. First place in the small residential category went to Tom and Patsy Lamas at 101 Tall Window Drive in Seneca and second place to Debbie James at 421 East Main Street in West Union. First place in large residential went to Ned and Judy Edwards at 408 East Main Street in Walhalla and second, to the Leon Terrys at 227 Moore Avenue in Walhalla. The Kid’s Choice Award went to Jay Rabalais at 609 Providence Point Drive in Seneca.
