SHS announces New Head Football Coach and Assistant Athletic Director

Seneca High School Principal, Cliff Roberts, announced today that Brett Turner will serve as the Head Coach of the Seneca High School Bobcat Football program for the 2015-16 season. Roberts stated, “We are very fortunate at Seneca High School to have a number of outstanding coaches throughout our athletic department. Our program is in a really good position at this time, and we are thrilled that Coach Turner is willing to step in and lead our program for the upcoming 2015-16 school year. Our student athletes and community deserve the very best that we can give them. Brett Turner provides our student athletes and program with the stability and opportunity to continue the development of our program that is needed. More importantly, Coach Turner will provide an example, climate, and culture for our student athletes that promotes high moral character, success on the playing field, and success outside of football. I look forward to the great things that will transpire in our program under Coach Turner’s leadership.” Coach Turner served as the Defensive Coordinator for Seneca High School during the 2014-15 football season and also served as Assistant Athletic Director/Assistant Coach at Seneca High from 2009-2012. K. Yon Radford has been hired as Assistant Athletic Director at Seneca High School. Coach Radford has played an extensive role in both the football program and the athletic department at Seneca High School over the past seven years. He has served in numerous capacities during his tenure at Seneca high School to include Assistant Football Coach, Lead Teacher, Defensive Coordinator, and Assistant Head Coach for Defense. Coach Radford has also served as Head Baseball Coach and Head Golf Coach at both TL Hannah and Crescent High Schools prior to his tenure here at Seneca High. Principal Cliff Roberts stated, “Yon has been an outstanding addition to Seneca High School over the past seven years. He has consistently gone above and beyond what has been asked of him. He deserves this opportunity to add some additional duties in athletic leadership. We are very fortunate to have coaches on staff the caliber of Coach Radford.”
