SHS Cross Country Teams ranked at the Top in the State

The cross country teams at Seneca High School (SHS) are ranked at the top in the state, tells SHS Athletic Director Andy Bay. “We’re very excited. They have been kind of been flying under the radar a little bit, just getting better and better each week. We’ve got a new young coach this year, Leavell Wall, he is a SHS graduate. He’s doing a great job, he’s got them organized and has come in and continued what Coach Chris White started with our track and cross country teams. So, I just wanted to give them the recognition that they deserve. The girls are currently ranked #1 in AAA. They had a huge weekend by out running the #2 team in the state this past weekend. Our boys are ranked #10 and right behind them doing a good job also. So, I just wanted to let all of Bobcat Nation know what these kids are doing and that they have a chance to do something special here soon.” This past weekend, Carson Towe was named the AAA girls runner of the week, and Micayla Collins was named the girls team runner of the week. In addition, Will Dodd was named boys team runner of the week. Both boys and girls teams will be running this Thursday, Oct. 4, at 5pm at SHS. The SHS girls cross country team members are Carson Towe, Catherine Cann, Sariah Stewart, Ava Nimmons, Micayla Collins, Nicole Feagan, and Sidney Doyle. The SHS boys cross country team members are Sam Dodd, Will Dodd, Tristan Wood, David Pope, Thatcher Wittrock, Alex Rich.
