SHS Girls’ Cross Country Team places Tenth in SC

Having a young team can be either a strength or a liability. In the case of the Seneca High School Girls Cross Country team, their youth can only be viewed as a strength. The team recently competed in the AAA state cross-country meet in Columbia and finished an impressive tenth place overall. With no seniors on the team and a strong contingent still at Seneca Middle School, the team has a very bright future. They were led by Rhylee Wittrock (8th grade) who finished 18th overall. Also scoring for the Lady Cats were Madison Towe (9th grade), Rachel Strader (11th grade), Allie Lee (11th grade), Sariah Stewart (8thgrade) and Catherine Cann (8th grade).
