SHS Track Teams win Region Titles and Coaches honored

Two days of track and field events are being celebrated at Seneca High School.  The Bobcats won the 2014 Western AAA Region Championships Thursday night.  After 17 events were scored, the Seneca Lady Cats captured 165 points, beating out Daniel with 159 points.  Similarly, the Seneca boys’ team beat out Daniel, 185.50 to 181, for the title.  In addition to the Western AAA Region Championships, Seneca girls’ track and field Coach Karl Addis was named Female Coach of the Year and Seneca boys’ Coach Chris White took the Male Coach of the Year award.  Seneca senior Majayla Holland received Western AAA Region Female Athlete of the Year honors.  The Male Athlete of the Year award went to Gabe Haughey of Daniel.
