Six killed on SC Roads over weekend

The South Carolina Department of Public Safety announces six persons killed on state roadways over the weekend. As of April 12, 245 people have died on South Carolina highways, compared to 214 highway deaths during the same time period in 2014. Of the 175 motor vehicle occupants who have died in 2015, 94 were not wearing seat belts. Locally, the South Carolina Department of Public Safety reports three highway deaths in Oconee County over the past two years at this same time. Pickens County lists three fatalities in 2015 compared to five in 2014. Anderson County has experienced 12 highway deaths in 2015 and 7 in 2014 at this time.
