Slight Change In Parade Route Upcoming For Seneca Christmas Parade On December 2nd

(Seneca, SC)————–There has been a slight modification in the parade route for the upcoming Seneca Christmas Parade that is scheduled for Monday evening, December 2nd.

The initial parade route for this year had the parade coming down Oak Street to East North First Street then a right onto S. Fairplay Street. From there, the parade route would take left onto Ram Cat Alley and then merge onto Main Street. On Main Street, the route would turn right onto N. Walnut Street and then take a right on Railroad Street.

Riley Johnson, Events Coordinator for the city of Seneca, says that the change was made to accommodate and provide access to those who have disabilities and because of parking concerns due to those attending the parade who like to watch it at Main Street and Cherry Road.

Therefore, the parade will continue down Main Street and instead of taking a right onto N. Walnut Street, the parade will proceed down to Cherry and Main Street’s and then take right there and continue down Cherry Street, where it will cross N. Walnut Street and then onto Railroad Street.

Also, the Magical Musical Holiday Light Show is scheduled to start tonight in downtown Seneca.
