Small Plane Crashed in Anderson County

A small plane crash near Honea Path is currently under investigation by the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office. The single-engine Cessna crashed Tuesday afternoon near Barkers Creek Road, west of Honea Path.

While the pilot was attempting to turn the plane around, it hit some power lines and crashed into a field near a house. The pilot was taken to a hospital for examination. The plane had taken off from a private airport, but the engine stalled, according to Chris Branyon, the chief of Craytonville Fire Department.
