Solar Eclipse Today!

Unless you have missed something, no doubt you are aware of the solar eclipse today. Channel 7 Meteorologist Daniel Bickford from the 24/7 Weather Team has all you need to know about this afternoon’s viewing…

Even if clouds are in the way, it is NOT safe to snag a peak of the Sun! The best way to view is either through special eclipse glasses or indirectly through a pinhole viewer. The next total solar eclipses in North America are not anticipated until 2044 and 2045.

Clemson University’s Physics and Astronomy Department is hosting a solar eclipse viewing event from Noon until 4pm this afternoon.
