Solicitor’s Office holding another Coats for Kids Event

The 10th Circuit Solicitor’s Office holds a second “Coats for Kids” event on Saturday, Jan. 23, in downtown Seneca. The event runs from noon until 3pm at Norton-Thompson Park. During the first event on Jan. 9, the Solicitor’s Office handed out 120-150 coats, in addition to gloves and hats to children and young adults in need. The 10th Circuit Solicitor’s Office is accepting coats of all sizes, new or gently used, until the event begins, plus, gloves and toboggans. The drop off point is the Oconee County Solicitor’s Office in the Walhalla Courthouse. However, if anyone has any questions or wants to donate items to be picked up, those individuals can contact Anna Orr at 864-638-4294. The event also features adult size items until supplies last.
